These Vegan Documentaries Will Change The Way You Think About Food

As you know, The Glowcery is a vegan, cruelty-free and superfood skincare brand. We use fresh and cold-pressed fruit, vegetable and seed oils to make nutrient dense skinfood, formulated to feed your skin all the vitamins it needs to look and feel healthy, balanced and glowing.

Inspired by Founder Roshanne Dorsett’s plant-based lifestyle, here at The Glowcery, we are holistically-driven, believing that the products you put onto your body should be as healthy and nutritious as the food your put into your body.

And so this Veganuary, why not feed your skin from within, with the help of my top 5 vegan documentaries:

1. Food Inc

The 2008 American documentary examines corporate farming in the United States, concluding that agribusiness produces food that is unhealthy, in a way that is environmentally harmful and abusive of both animals and employees.

2. Forks Over Knives

Forks Over Knives examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the chronic diseases that afflict us can be controlled or even reversed by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.

3. Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret

A 2014 documentary film which explores the negative impact of animal agriculture on the environment and investigates the policies of a few environmental organizations on this issues.

4. What The Health

What the Health is the ground-breaking follow-up film from the creators of the documentary Cowspiracy. The film examines the link between diet and disease, and exposes the collusion and corruption in government and big business that is costing us trillions of healthcare dollars, and keeping us sick.

5. The Game Changers

“A 2018 documentary film that interviews science experts in various fields, showcases success stories of athletes that have adopted such diets, highlights scientific studies, and champions what the filmmakers argue are benefits of plant-based diets for both athletes and non-athletes”

Have you watched any of these films? What did you think?
