SUPERFOOD SPOTLIGHT – COCOA & UCUUBA BUTTERS

INCI: THEOBROMA CACAO SEED BUTTER & VIROLA SEBIFERA NUT BUTTER

Chocolate is a stupendous confectionary, but have you had chocolate in skincare? Divinely nourishing, with a distinctive chocolate scent Cocoa butter is made by expeller pressing the seeds of roasted cocoa beans. Uccuba butter a nutrient-dense Amazonian butter is also cold-pressed, but from the seeds of the Ucuuba tree, both butters offer conditioning benefits for dry, lacklustre and irritated skin here are some of our fave benefits:

🍫 Unrefined cocoa butter is rich in moisturising omega essential fatty acids that help to restore your skin’s elasticity and soften the skin.

🤎 Ucuuba butter is high in myristic acid, a deeply-conditioning fatty acid that protects the skin from moisture loss.

🍫 Cocoa butter is a rich source of Lauric, Myristic & Palmitic acid & the key Vitamins A & C, which all contribute to healthy, glowing and nourished skin.

🤎 Ucuuba Butter is said to have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties and is ideal for soothing, eczema and dry or irritated skin.

🍫 Containing natural plant compounds called phytochemicals. These compounds help to protect against damage from environmental stressors and harsh climates.

Hand whipped we use both cold-pressed Cocoa and Ucuuba butters in our indulgent body butter Cocoa Cloud. Made with dry, rough and inflamed skin in mind, this decadent body butter is the perfect treat for skin helping to soothe, hydrate and nourish. Use Cocoa Cloud on clean, dry skin gently massage for cloud-like softness, a little goes a long way. Or for extra skin-suppleness use together with our nourishing body oil Golden Nectar.
