I founded The Glowcery after experiencing my own version of burnout. Working as a criminal and human rights lawyer in a high-pressure environment left me exhausted, disconnected, and searching for ways to restore my wellbeing. I turned to holistic wellness and adopted a vegan lifestyle, becoming more intentional about what I was putting into my body.
That shift opened my eyes: if I was so mindful about the food I ate, why wasn’t I questioning what I was feeding my skin? When I began digging deeper, I was shocked to learn that up to 80% of mainstream skincare products are filled with ultra-processed ingredients, harsh chemicals, and quick-fix formulas the very things contributing to skin burnout: dryness, sensitivity, dullness, and even long-term damage.
That realisation became my spark. If fresh, nutrient-dense food could nourish and heal the body, skincare should be just as nutritious. With that belief, I created The Glowcery, a plant-based, superfood-powered skincare brand made with cold-pressed fruit and vegetable oils.
