My skin

Describe your skincare journey

Ashamed to say I only really started to give my skin real attention in my 30s! although I have always moisturised well.

Tell us about your current skincare routine?

Hot cloth cleanser morning & evening using a flannel. Splash skin with cold water and apply day/night moisturiser with 2-3 drops of clean greens facial oil. Massage into face & neck. I also moisturise my body after every shower. Salt scrub from top to toe once a week.

What are your favourite skincare products?

The Glowcery clean greens facial oil is responsible for my skin’s balance & glow. Liz Earle’s hot cloth cleanser is easy, effective and wonderful to use. The sanctuary salt scrub.

Do you have a skincare tip you’d like to share?

I know it’s a well-worn cliché but drinking plenty of water and eating food in its natural state where I can. Lots of green leafy veg, pure clean products, keeping to a routine. Cold showers and getting lots of fresh air too!

My selfcare

What does selfcare mean to you?

Taking time out. Even if its 10 minutes to myself to read my Sunday Times style magazine, getting my haircut, Having a coffee with a friend. A run or walk with my jack Russell, Bertie and lots of gardening. Being outdoors uplifts me enormously.

How do you relax?

With my family. Watching my boys play football, a film evening, a nice meal out with my husband/ friends, a long Sunday walk (Leasfoot beach in Devon is my favourite) and a good binge on iplayer!

My life

Your favourite quote

‘Seize the day!’

My superpower is?

My determination & my three boys

My favourite fruit or veg is?

Strawberries and green beans, strawberries just remind me of the summer to come and green beans remind me of my beloved grandad picking them from his allotment and granny cooking them for tea.

If we were to look in your fridge, what would we find?

Almond milk, coconut water loads of fresh fruit and veg. Various experiments of homemade energy bars, Greek yoghurt, ramekins of avocado chocolate mousse (seriously good)- husband not convinced! Tomato puree, cheeses, pizza dough and bottles of milk (we get delivered) & empty ones where the boys finish them and just put them back!
